The journey of Spice Garten is only beginning. What started as a dream among three Nepali friends—Daya, Suman, and Miraz, also known as Dhyan Maitreya—has grown into a beloved space in Hamburg, but their vision stretches far beyond today.
Daya, with his passion for gastronomy, is constantly experimenting with new seasonal menus that celebrate the vibrant flavors of India and the Himalayas while honoring time-tested traditions. Suman, with his gift for photography and storytelling, continues to capture the soul of the restaurant, creating a visual narrative that travels far beyond its walls. Miraz, bringing his path of spiritual healing and mantra practice, envisions weaving sound, meditation, and mindful presence into the very fabric of dining.
Looking forward, they dream of transforming Spice Garten into a true temple of food and spirit. Their goal is to craft dishes that not only delight the senses but also heal and uplift—recipes prepared with intention, infused with rich spices, and designed to resonate with body and soul. They imagine a sacred dining environment: warm lighting, vibrant décor inspired by Nepal, and evenings filled with mantra nights, Bollywood melodies, and festive celebrations like Dashain and Tihar.
The vision extends beyond the restaurant’s doors. With a dedicated home-service delivery, they plan to bring these healing flavors into people’s homes, creating comfort and joy even from afar.
For Daya, Suman, and Dhyan Maitreya, the future of dining is more than eating—it is about feeling, connecting, and celebrating life together. With every plate, Spice Garten will continue to share the heritage of Nepal and India, offering Hamburg not just food, but an experience of warmth, community, and soulful nourishment.
